USD 3.84 billion disbursed for Norwegian exports in 2013

Export Credit Norway’s first full year of operation was characterised by high activity and saw the company receive more than 400 loan applications and disburse loans for a total amount of more than USD 3.84 billion.

Export Credit Norway had a lending-balance of more than USD 7.5 billion by the end of the year, whereof 68 per cent was comprised by maritime industries. The annual accounts showed an increase in the number of loan-applications for ships and shipping-equipment of more than 20 per cent compared to 2012, and the lending-balance on ships alone increased by more than USD 2.6 billion from the end of 2012 to the end of 2013.
