Concur Technologies, Inc, , the global leader in expense management solutions, today announced it has been chosen by Unitor ASA, the world's leading supplier to the shipping industry, to streamline, control and automate its expense management process.

Headquartered in Norway with over 1300 employees, Unitor ASA will initially roll out Concur Expense Service in 11 countries across Europe including the UK, The Netherlands, France, Germany, Norway and Poland.

"With a disparate workforce located across the globe, Unitor ASA needed one solution that could meet the differing currency and language needs of the workforce," explained Andrew Stephens (ACMA), Director Business Improvements of Unitor ASA. "Often managers are located in different countries than their employees which meant our expense management process was time consuming and prone to both delays and errors. Expense policy and particularly procedures varied across different geographical locations and it was difficult to get a corporate overview of our travel and entertainment expense spend.

"Unitor ASA considered a number of local, regional and global alternatives," Stephens continued. "We could see that Concur Expense Service could deliver significant improvements both in terms of process, transparency and control. The hosted subscription service suits us because it is quick and easy to deploy and has minimal impact on our internal resources. "

Simon Nelson, Managing Director for Concur Technologies EMEA commented, "We're very excited to have Unitor ASA join our subscription services customer community of over 1000 companies. Our global capabilities and understanding of local language, regulatory and currency issues and hosting operations make us an ideal choice for European companies like Unitor who are looking to improve their expense management processes."
