TV processors tailored for the web - Opera

Opera Software and Sigma Designs (NASDAQ: SIGM), a leading provider of System-on-Chip (SoC) solutions for home entertainment, connectivity and converging multimedia delivery, today announced that the Opera Devices SDK will land in Sigma Designs’ Smart TV processors.

“By licensing the Opera Devices SDK, Sigma will be able to meet the complex needs of TV manufacturers, who want to design different engaging web options easily,” says Aneesh Rajaram, Senior Vice-President for TV & Devices, Opera Software. “We are looking forward to seeing the first results of our cooperation, which will satisfy content-hungry viewers, who are looking for a premium Smart TV experience.”
