Telenor Moves To Control DiGi

Telenor, Norway's Telecommunications company first bought shares in in 1999 and has now launched a partial bid to takeover Malaysia's third largest mobile operator, according to the Financial Times. The takeover is worth up to US $365 million and since 1999, Telenor has increased its holding to 32.9 per cent. Majority control would allow Telenor to consolidate DiGi into its accounts.
