Strong growth for Spring Consulting

Spring Consulting generated organic growth of 31% in 2007. "In just a few years we have developed our company to become the leading SAP environment in the Nordic region. In 2008, we intend to build our position with customers in the private sector, and especially in the oil and gas industry where we now have particular strengths", explains Lars Torp, CEO of Spring Consulting.

Spring Consulting became part of EDB Business Partner in January 2006. Spring Consulting's turnover in Norway in 2007 was over NOK 180 million, with operating margin (EBITA margin) comfortably over 10%.

"We now have a unique position, and we can follow our customers across the Nordic countries and out into Europe. In 2008, we will continue to build our position with customers in the private sector. We will focus in particular on the oil and gas industry, where we now have particular strengths. At the same time, we will continue to expand our public sector practice", comments Lars Torp, CEO of Spring Consulting.

"The links between SAP and the public sector have become much closer. SAP has invested heavily in product development, and offers customised solutions for the public sector. In parallel, major elements of the public sector are organised in the same way as private sector businesses. SAP has adapted itself to the customer, and the customer has adapted to SAP. Spring Consulting's role is to bring the two together and ensure a long and happy partnership", explains Lars Torp.

Cross-selling and Nordic interaction
Spring Consulting has sister companies in Sweden and Denmark, and works in close collaboration with its colleagues to deliver projects across the entire Nordic market. EDB's acquisition of IS Partner has added 80 new SAP consultants to the EDB Business Partner group, which now has 360 consultants specialising in SAP.

"We now have the necessary critical mass to be able to take on major and technically-demanding projects. Being the biggest is not in itself an objective, but is necessary if we are to have sufficient resources to support customers with major projects", adds Lars Torp.

"In just a few years we have developed our company to become the leading SAP environment in the Nordic region. Together with the SAP consultants at IS Partner, we are now also one of the largest players in the Nordic countries", explains Lars Torp, CEO of Spring Consulting.
