Statoil AS and its partners in Mikkel gas and condensate field, which straddles Blocks 6407/6 and 6407/7 in the Norwegian Sea, have awarded three contracts for the commissioning of the field to FMC Kongsberg Subsea, Reinertsen Engineering and Kvaerner Oil and Gas.
FMC Kongsberg is committed to provide equipment that leads to cost effective solutions for oil production.
Kvaerner will carry out all the engineering and procurement activities and offshore installation work also.
Reinertsen Engineering will design subsea systems, such as pipelines and control cables.
The contracts are worth NOK 400 million, 6 million and 50 million.
Work is about to start and will engage around 30 engineers. Production is planned to start by the beginning of October, 2003.
