Splash Zone Project in Australia awarded LBO

Linjebygg Offshore (LBO) has been awarded a feasibility/concept study by Woodside, Australia's largest independent oil and gas company and one of the world's leading producers of liquefied natural gas.

 The contract is a result of LBO’s experience with complex operations in the splash zone, and Woodside’s search for new and innovative solutions, says LBO’s Marketing Manager Leif Erling Aasan.  

 

LBO has since the early nineties been a key player in developing safe and effective solutions for maintenance and modification work on oil and gas installations on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. The company has specialized in working at places difficult to access with traditional methods. In 2008 a development project was established to improve the possibilities for doing work in the challenging splash zone without using traditional ROV’s or divers. The LBO Splash Zone Concept now covers a range of products for inspection, maintenance and modification work and several projects have been successfully completed.
