SMART Technologies Cuts Development Time with Qt from Trolltech

Trolltech® announced today that SMART Technologies has adopted Qt®, Trolltech’s framework for cross-platform application development, to assist in creating its Notebook™ collaborative learning software for Windows, Mac OSX and Linux. Qt helps companies save time developing software to multiple platforms, and helped SMART Technologies cut development time and quickly expand the market opportunity for its product.
 
SMART Technologies chose Qt because it is a platform independent framework and frees their developers from having to perform platform-specific maintenance. Developers focus on building the core value of each product, instead of platform-specific maintenance. Qt also eliminates the need to invest resources in multiple languages, toolkits and environments.
