The SAS Group transported 2.8 million passengers in August.

This is 200,000 passengers or 5.7 per cent less than for the same month last year, but it still the first sign of improvement in six months.

The reason is that the so-called cabin factor improved for the first time in half a year. The cabin factor is the ratio of passengers to available airline seats.

The SAS Group now include Scandinavian Airlines, Braathens, Wideroe, Spanair and AirBotnia.
