Raufoss to supply American cars

Raufoss, the Norwegian producer of automotive and military systems, expects to supply the General Motors North American Car Group with aluminium wheel suspension components for the next seven years or so, an order that could generate tens of millions of dollars in revenue each year. The American order comes on the heels of a similar contract Raufoss is already fulfilling for GM Europa. The company, which recently sold a business unit that supplied steering columns, is investing in a new production facility in Raufoss for suspension systems. It is also looking into building a new plant for suspension systems in the United States.
