Polarcus Adira selected Sea-Hawk

Polarcus selected a Sea-Hawk SHN X9 radar for their two newbuilds; m/v Polarcus Amani & m/v Polarcus Adira. These two vessels are purposely built for Advanced
Seismic Survey Projects up in the High North.

This Sea-Hawk radar is installed to assist the Master of these New Seismic Research vessels with Advanced Surface Detection for anything on the surface which could threaten her Seismic Streamers, also while up in the High North.

One reason to why we won this project is our capability to detect very small targets, as Growlers, another reason is that we can detect small, & fast targets much longer out than other marine radars.

Like an aerial photo
Sea-Hawk can detect the surface within the radar horizon, displaying it similarly
to an unusually detailed aerial photo. We bring radar detection to a level you could only dream about until recently. The constant darkness in the Arctic call for superior systems to help you operate up here. A Polarimetric radar could provide you with most valuable details for a safe operation.

Sea-Hawk provides Advanced Surface Detection radars to Seismic ship owners and ship managers worldwide to assist their fleets in acquisition, processing and interpretation of high definition seismic data. Sea-Hawk’s advanced surface detection radars are in continous operation worldwide.
