Plans To Increase Compressor Power At Troll

As stated in the site by Offshore Drilling, Oil and Gas Operations, Exploration, Statoil AS, the Norwegian state-owned oil and gas company have invested an estimated 3 billion kroner in the plan to increase compressor power on the Troll Field in the Norwegian North Sea by using electric power from the mainland. The agenda is due to start in 2005-2006 when four compressors will neutralize declining reservoir pressure at the field. The Troll Field delivers around 35 per cent of gas to Europe.
