Norway's largest shipping company, Bergesen, may be sold to the Far East.
Bergesen's two major shareholders, Petter Sundt and Morten Bergesen, are said to be interested in selling their holdings.
According to Aftenposten, many in the Norwegian shipping industry are worried about the prospects that the "flagship" of Norwegian shipping may be sold abroad.
Both Sundt and Bergesen, who between them own 22.99 per cent of the Bergesen shares, are according to Aftenposten considering selling their holdings.
According to the newspaper, the owner of the Hongkong-based World Wide Shipping, Helmut Sohmen, has already bought 9.6 per cent of the Bergesen shares.
