STAVANGER, Norway, Aug 28 (AFP) - Norway and Russia signed Wednesday an
accord to strengthen dialogue on energy issues including resource management,
the environment, markets, security and technologies, the Norwegian oil and
energy ministry said.
"Norwegian and Russian energy authorities are reinforcing their dialogue on questions of mutual interest," with ministers from both countries scheduled to
meet on a regular basis, the ministry said in a statement.
"In addition, the goal of this dialogue will be to promote investment
projects which include participation of companies from both countries."
Energy policies and legislation are other topics to be covered by the
accord between Russia and Norway, the second and third biggest oil exporters
in the world, respectively.
