Nordic technology shares forged ahead in early trade on Thursday following positive economic news and on the back of stronger overnight closes for bluechip telecom equipment heavyweights.
The region's Stoxx Nordic index was up 1.9 percent at 0930 GMT, outperforming the FTSE Eurotop 300 index by 0.75 percent.
Norwegian oilfield services group Petroleum Geo-Services firmed after it it said it would publish Q4 earnings on Monday following a delay which hit its share price.
Telecoms equipment heavyweights Ericsson and Nokia jumped 3.9 percent and 2.7 percent respectively as the shares kicked into line with strong New York closes.
The tech-laden Nasdaq last night rallied on positive data about factory orders and a key survey of business conditions gave fresh evidence of a strong rebound in the US economy.
