Umoe Schat-Harding Equipment AS (USH) market leading freefall lifeboat FF1200 Sunday recorded yet another world record.
During a freefall test program for various customers this week, USH used the opportunity to put the prototype in the davit 65,1m above the water.
The freefall was conducted to everybody’s satisfaction and the boat ran for 4 hours after the test. By this the world record is back with FF1200 and Umoe Schat-Harding.
«There is no direct formal value in such a record. However, our eminent free fall boat technology targets applications with increasing demand for the free fall height. We demonstrate through the new world record that our FF1200 maintain clear and positive headway and intact strength, being the frontrunner meeting new stringent regulations and corresponding performance. Our State of the Art lifeboat is designed to safeguard lives in harsh environments in the years to come», says CEO Geir Arne Veglo.
