New routines for contracts with the Research Council of Norway

The introduction of the Research Council’s electronic contract system is accompanied by a more stringent practice requiring all collaboration agreements to be returned from the Project Owner at the same time as the approved contract.

On 8 January the Research Council of Norway launched its new online system for circulation and approval of contracts, representing the final link in the now wholly electronic chain of administrative procedures relating to the submission, review and funding of grant applications. Among other things, this provides grant applicants with access to all documents pertaining to their projects via “My RCN Web”.

“The new system is more efficient, increases traceability, makes it easier to locate documents and ensures better coordination of contract-related activities between the Research Council and its users,” says Kristine Sollie Hansen, who has headed the eKontrakt project.
