New Power Cables Built Between Norway And Britian

According to the Norway Post, two new subsea power cables will be built between Norway and Britian. Statnett has been granted the licence at a cost of NOK 5 billion. The cables will be used to export electric energy from Norway to Britian but they will also be used to import energy to Norway, should a power shortage occur. Statoil in collaboration with the British National Grid Company will complete the project.
