Two Norwegian students from the Oslo School of Architecture and Design have been granted the prestigious job of designing the new Norwegian Embassy in Tehran.
The two students are collaborating on the built as their diploma project. They have said that the old embassy holds only the administrative and representative functions. However, they would like to see the new building include home and workplace under the same roof.
The new style is founded in the traditional Persian architecture style. This includes big windows, designed for transparency and direct sunlight to come in. The new structure will also allow for a visual contact with panoramic overview when walking through the embassy.
