New METRIX Distributor Selected in Norway

Metrix Instrument Co. is excited to announce its partnership with a well established company in Norway as the regional distributor for their machinery condition monitoring solutions.

The new local stocking distributor in Norway, InControl, is a RealGroup Company, with long experience supporting the oil and gas market in this region.  InControl focuses on instrumentation and control systems and offers a breadth of services from basic to customized engineered solutions to solve customer’s problems.

“We are excited to have InControl as part of our team.  Their knowledge of the Norwegian Offshore market, experienced management, sales and technical staff make them a great fit for us.  Additionally, the fact that Amitec, another Real Group Company, has an intimate relationship with OSIsoft LLC, makes this a perfect partnership, as Metrix is in the process of developing the markets first direct digital interface of dynamic vibration data into the OSI PI platform.  We’re looking forward to a long and mutually beneficial partnership, and to providing innovative, high value solutions to the Norwegian market”, said Steve Riggs, Global Sales Director.

Jon Peterson, Vice-President of Marketing for OSIsoft, LLC (www.osisoft.com), the leader in realtime data infrastructure solutions and maker of the PI System, concurs. “We are very pleased to see the step that Metrix has made towards fully opening this data. We are also impressed with the innovation they have demonstrated in finding ways to dramatically reduce the necessary storage space for this type of data – which previously made archival of such data in a process historian problematic. PI System users worldwide will benefit from the native connectivity we are planning between our PI System and the Metrix SETPOINT™ machinery protection system to deliver rich static and dynamic data plots and trends. It simply makes sense that users be able to historize and view their entire set of vibration data – including dynamic data – in the same platform as their process data.”

Come see our SETPOINT™ Machinery Protection System demo at the InControl booth (E-568/7), during ONS 2012 Exhibition.
