National commemoration 22 July

One year after the attacks on Utøya and the Government Quarter, The Government will arrange national commemorations during 22 July.

 

In addition, visits to Utøya by the bereaved will be facilitated from the morning onward and in the evening, while The Workers' Youth League (AUF) is planning an event on the island at noon. There will also be memorial services in the Church of Norway, e.g. in the Cathedral of Oslo and in Hole Church.

In the Government Quarter there will be a laying of wreaths at 09:30 AM. The Ministry of Government Administration, Reform and Church Affairs (FAD) is in charge of this event.
