An increasing number of Norwegian firms now use imported labour from EU nations. The growth is highest within the public sector, according to a new survey by the National Labour Office (NAV).
Four out of ten firms in the public sector used European labour during the past year, according to the NAV survey.
In the private sector the share of those firms who used EU labour during the past year increased from 27 to 30 per cent.
The use of imported labour from the EU is highest within the hotel and restaurant sectors, with two out of three firms having used European labour during the past year.
