MNOK 400 contract with Kuwait

Kongsberg Defence Communications (KDC) has signed a contract with the Kuwaiti Ministry of Defence to supply a mobile communications systems.

Kongsberg Defence Communications (KDC) has signed a contract with the Kuwaiti Ministry of Defence to supply a mobile communications systems. The contract, value of approximately  MNOK 400, will be accomplished over a three-year period.

 

Under the contract KDC will deliver the  tactical network solution  Eritac and with the  Multi Role Radio (MRR) system integrated. KDC was recently awarded a contract for similar Eritac equipment from the Omani Government. MRR is developed and in full scale series production for the Norwegian Armed Forces.

 

This contract is the result of long-term efforts in Kuwait and is expected to pave the way for further business opportunities. KDC won the contract in the face of competition against suppliers from France and the USA.
