This release delivers significant improvements in usability, interfacing with SLB modeling and simulation tools and new state-of-the-art workflows.
With the new release use of the extensive MEPO functionality is easier accessible. The project set-up is simplified and defaults are presented to match the project specifications. All plots from result analysis can now easily be stored on an internal canvas for later inspection and use. 3D visualization capabilities are improved by exchanging the previous 3rd party engine with an interactive link to Petrel.
The MEPO plugin for Petrel is enhanced by synchronizing definition of input parameters. The plugin is now part of the main application.
MEPO 4.2 delivers interfaces to INTERSECT and FrontSim in addition to all simulators previously supported.
New powerful workflows are available for use. An ensemble-based approach to history matching and production forecasting smoothens out the hurdle reservoir engineers often face when moving simulations from history to prediction. In addition a more robust approach to understanding the importance of modeling parameters is included. Interaction between parameters are automatically investigated, which overcomes the deficiencies of traditional use of tornado-charts.
MEPO 4.2 is both more user-friendly and powerful than its predecessor and strengthens MEPO’s position as the market leading reservoir optimization solution.
