Meet us at Nor-Shipping 2013

This week Nortrade will be attending Nor-Shipping and we hope to see you there!

Facts

  • Nor-shipping developed from the Deck and Engine Room in the early 1960s, in cooperation with the magazine Skip.
  • Its original focus was domestic and Norwegian seafarers and shipboard workplaces.
  • Per Selvig saw the international potential for Nor Shipping. He contacted Edvard Mowinckel-Larsen, then head of Norwegian Industrial Fairs, to propose a broader and more international focus for the next maritime exhibition.
  • Organised with the support of Selvig’s Norwegian Shipping News journal, the event was renamed as the first International Shipping Exhibition before it opened in Oslo during May 1965.

Keep an eye out for our representatives at Nor-Shipping this week. From 4th to the 7th of June the leading maritime event week is taking place in Oslo.

If you would like to keep up to date on the Nor-Shipping program.

Looking to go but have not got around to registering, there is still a chance here.

For those still looking for a place to stay in Oslo, take a look at the travel section on the Nor-Shipping website.
