Marine Insurance Workshop 2013

What happens if your ship collides with another ship? Who will rescue you and how is it done? How are you covered and who will pay for what? What about legal issues?

You will get the answers to all these questions and many more on our two-day marine insurance workshop in Bergen on 5th to 6th November. Norwegian Hull Club arranges this workshop annually to give our clients' new employees and superintendents as well as new clients and business associates a basic understanding of marine insurance and its implications. We will follow a ship that collides with another ship and the various losses that occur. The importance and consequence of the policies in force will be highlighted and the course will be based on the Nordic Marine Insurance Plan of 2013.

The following topics will be covered:

  • Marine Insurance Underwriting, H&M /LOH / TLO / WAR
  • Salvage
  • Surveyor's role
  • Particular Average claim
  • General Average claim
  • Collision claim
  • LOH claim
