Nor-Fishing 2016 a Major Success

Nor-Fishing reports of a major increase in visitors and exhibitors to this year's exhibition. 

17460 people visited the exhibition between 21. - 24. August. 


Nor-Fishing states the visitors did not only increase in numbers, but also in nationalities. Technology interested people from 56 countries visited the exhibition. This is an increase of 27 % compared to 2014. 



Norway Exports, the Norwegian exports publication, participated at the exhibition. Both the Seafood, Fishing & Aquaculture publication and the magazine Northern Seafood were handed out for free. Their stand was well visited, and the publications well received, according to the reports. 



The exhibition also saw an increase in companies exhibiting at the fair. Compared to Nor-Fishing 2014, the increase was 25 %. According to the exhibition there was a long waiting list for exhibitors. The waiting list was established February 2016.

Nor-Fishing states that more exhibitors will be granted a space at next exhibition as a new hall will be in place by then.  



The Innovation Award for 2016 was announced at the fair, by Norwegian Minister of Fisheries, Per Sandberg. The winner was Scantrol Deep Vision.   

Nor-Fishing will take place once more 2018.
