LNG To Be Used

According to Oilonline, operation of two new supply vessels operated by Statoil ASA on the Norwegian Continental Shelf will be fueled with LNG instead of diesel.

The ships will be built in Norway and operated near Bergen to serve oil and gas installations in the North Sea Tampen area. The use of LNG will cut nitrogen oxide emissions from the vessels by 85 per cent compared with diesel.
