Through CCIS-House AS, KONGSBERG has signed an important contract with the Norwegian Defence Logistics Organisation (NDLO) for the further development of the Norwegian Army's NORTaC-C2IS command, control and information system. Valued at approximately MNOK 39, the contact encompasses augmentations and adaptations to make the NORTaC-C2IS system even better suited for international operations.

"The further development of this system is of the utmost importance. Now that the system has been used on several international operations in recent years, we can further enhance Norwegian units' opportunities to exchange information with Allied forces", states Odd Kyllingmark, executive vice president, Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace.

Interoperability is essential for systems used on multi-national operations and the NORTaC-C2IS has already attracted considerable international interest in relation to the operations on which it has been deployed.
