INTSOK’s 12th annual Russian-Norwegian Oil and Gas Conference

INTSOK’s 12th annual Russian-Norwegian Oil and Gas Conference will be held at the Radisson BLU Hotel Tromsø, Norway from 20-21 January 2014. This will be a RU-NO Barents Project related Conference and is being held in conjunction with Arctic Frontiers 2014. Openings by the Mayor of Tromsø and State Secretary of the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs; with summaries by Task Force leaders of the RU-NO Barents Project.

The Conference this year focuses on what is really going on in Russian and Norwegian waters in the North: Norway has developed Snøhvit LNG and Goliat is in process. More significant discoveries are being made, which will see new developments. Russia has been developed Prirazlomnoye and is going to drill the Kara sea in the summer. In addition projects off Sakhalin and in the Caspian Sea has been developed in arctic conditions and more projects are planned.

Given the actuality of the RU-NO Barents Project, we have dedicated this Conference to RU-NO Barents and want to focus on how to drill and develop oil and gas fields in the Arctic in an environmentally friendly way.

The draft agenda is now available. Please register your attendance (enter email address and enter details) by no later than Friday 10 January 2014.
