International investors turn to Norway

The Norwegian krone is stronger by the day, and the Norwegian curency has become a safe-haven for international investors in a difficult market, says senior economist Knut Magnussen at DnB Markets. In Norway investors receive high interest on their savings at a low risk. The Norwegian krone is now quoted at 78.96 against the Swedish krone, and not since 1819, when Norway got its own currency, has Swedish currency been cheaper. Despite this, Norwegian investors are taking less money across the border to Sweden than for many years, according to NRK.
