Innovation Programme for Maritime Activities and Offshore Operations (MAROFF)

The MAROFF programme works to realise the Government’s maritime strategy for promoting innovation and environmentally sustainable value creation in the maritime industries. The programme supports maritime companies and research institutions in further developing their knowledge-based competitive advantages and provides funding to projects targeted towards solving specific research challenges in order to achieve advances in the three key areas of innovation which have been identified through the cooperative effort under the Maritim21 and MARUT initiatives.

The MAROFF programme’s target groups are shipping companies, the shipbuilding industry, service providers and equipment suppliers to all types of vessels and aquaculture facilities. The programme also supports knowledge-building at research institutions in technology and social science-related fields of importance to the maritime sector in Norway.
