Increased Norwegian exports in July

The export of crude oil, natural gas and condensate came to NOK 21.0 billion in July. Imports of goods came to 21.9 billion.

The trade balance surplus for the month therefore amounted to NOK 14.4 billion, according to figures from Statistics Norway.

In July the export of crude came to NOK 16.0 billion, a drop by one billion compared with the same month last year. The price per barrel was NOK 205, against NOK 195 in July last year.

However, the number of barrels exported were 77.7 million, against 87.8 million in July last year.

So far this year, the value of the crude export has reached NOK 114 billion.

The value of the export of natural gas in July was NOK 4.9 billion, an increase by 14.7 per cent from the same month last year.

So far this year, Norway has exported natural gas worth NOK 39 billion, an increase by 18 per cent from the same period last year.
