Increased focus on environmental issues among Norwegian companies

This is an increase of 8 percent, compared to August last year. The certifications of Quality management systems, Occupational health & safety management systems, Information security management systems and Food safety management systems have also increased since 2007.
 
-   This year’s publication of the ISO-guide KvaLex® has  now been published. This is the only reference work listing all ISO-certified companies in Norway. Findexa Forlag AS publishes KvaLex®, which is a cooperative project between the Norwegian certification companies, Norsk Akkreditering and Findexa Forlag AS, says product manager for B2B-products, Håvar Valved in Findexa Forlag AS.
 
By December 2006, more than 130 000 ISO 14001-certificats had been given, divided among 140 countries. Japan topped the list in 2006, with 22 593 certified companies, followed by China with 18 842 and Spain with 11 125 certified organizations.
