Hydro Agri invests in gas plant in Germany

Hydro Gas and Chemicals, the part of Hydro Agri serving industrial customers, has started the project execution of a world scale CO2 purification and liquefaction plant in Germany to supply the growing German food and beverage market with high purity product.

Hydro Gas and Chemicals, the part of Hydro Agri serving industrial customers, has started the project execution of a world scale CO2 purification and liquefaction plant in Germany to supply the growing German food and beverage market with high purity product.

The plant has an annual production capacity of 150,000 tonnes and will start production next year. This cost efficient operation in the centre of the German market will strengthen Hydro’s German market position and be an integrated part of the company's European CO2 value chain.

Hydro Gas and Chemicals has entered into long-term agreements with Bayer on the lease of land, utilities and infrastructure, and also benefits from services provided by the Chemical Park in Dormagen.
