Gas power in Holland

Norsk Hydro has agreed to build and operate a natural gas-driven power plant in The Netherlands in association with a Dutch partner, N.V. Delta Nutsbedrijven.

The joint-venture Zepower Project will use the world's most advanced technology to maximise efficiency and minimise emissions as it generates up to 800 MW. The two-phase project will eventually replace the existing power generator at Norsk Hydro's Dutch fertiliser plant, Hydro Agri Sluiskil (HAS). Costs have been estimated at USD 200 million (NOK 1.8 billion).
