Ford pumps cash into Think

Ford Motor Co. is redoubling its commitment to Think, the Norwegian electric car manufacturer. The American automotive giant, which is already the major backer of the Norwegian enterprise, will now invest between USD 100 million and USD 150 million (NOK 880 million and NOK 1.3 billion) to develop a new model for international markets, according to Dagens Næringsliv. Ford had considered building a new factory in the United States to produce Think cars for the American market, but has apparently decided to give global responsibility to the Norwegian factory in Aurskog, where some USD 50 million (NOK 450 million) will be spent satisfying American collision security standards.
