First allocations of SSF’s strategic funds

Svalbard Science Forum (SSF) has in total 3,8 million NOK available for Workshops and Support Funds in 2012. We received a total of 17 applications by the 15 February, 2012 deadline. The total amount of the applications was 4,85 million NOK. Seven of these applications have now been granted SSF support.

Supported workshops and projects shall contribute to SSF strategic objectives for research in Svalbard: Improved and more international cooperation, more open sharing of data collected in Svalbard and reduced environmental footprint through coordinated logistics and the use of new technology.
