European Commissioner Androulla Vassiliou visited the Ministry of Culture

Minister of Culture Anniken Huitfeldt met on Monday, 16 January 2012, with Androulla Vassiliou, European Commissioner for Education, Culture, Multilingualism, Sports, Media and Youth. They discussed, among other things, Norway's participation in the EU's Culture programme and the MEDIA 2007 programme.

The European Commission's proposal for a new culture and media programme for the period 2014-20, Creative Europe, was also on the agenda. The proposal was submitted before Christmas. They also discussed VAT on e-books and anti-doping initiatives in sport.
