EU chooses Norwegian builder

In sharp competion with European construction giants, the Norwegian firm Veidekke has won a USD 19 million (NOK 170 million) contract to build the European Union's new embassy in Tanzania. The Veidekke subsidiary Noremco has been established in East Africa for 20 years. The new EU building in Dar es Salaam will house the German, British and Dutch embassies as well as that of the EU.
