Ementor Norge AS signs a 3 year frame agreement for delivery of multifunction printers (MFP) and systems, with related services, to the university and college sector in Norway. The agreement has an estimated contract value for Ementor of NOK 100 million, with 2008 value estimated at NOK 30-40 million.

The agreement is signed with UNINETT, who coordinates significant shares of the IT procurement for Norwegian universities and colleges. The agreement expands the good cooperation between Ementor and UNINETT that has developed over the past several years. Ementor already has frame agreements with UNINETT concerning PCs (Lenovo, Fujitsu-Siemens and Apple), servers (Fujitsu-Siemens, IBM and HP), network equipment (Cisco) and software (Citrix, Trend Micro, Norman, Symantec, Novell and VMware).

"UNINETT has a contract portfolio that now covers most of the IT area for universities and colleges. Ementor is an important supplier for a large share of this. In addition, they have now offered very good print solutions," says Lars Skogan, CFO of UNINETT.

Through this agreement UNINETT has been especially focused on making print solutions in the sector more efficient. This will be achieved by introducing systems where the user can pick up the print-out from any printer in the network. This "follow-me-print" technology leads to a significant reduction in the number of print-outs left by the printers, which in turn is a positive gain for the environment. UNINETT and the sector focuses on the environment, and "Green IT" will be an important aspect of the IT strategy moving forward.

"UNINETT is one of our most important customers," says Atle Reitaas, Regional Manager in Ementor Trondheim. "The Public Sector is increasingly at the forefront of the development of innovative IT solutions and UNINETT is a very good example of that. Consequently we are extremely satisfied to have been accepted yet again, and we look forward to continue working with both UNINETT and with the entire research and educational sector," says Reitaas.
