Nortrade and Norway Exports at Nor-Fishing

Nortrade and Norway Exports are present at Nor-Fishing this week. You can find us at stand D-307.

Nor-Fishing kicked off yesterday with speeches and a good drizzel of rain. But inside there were exhibitors from around the world and tasty seafood in every hall. 

 

Rita Ottervik Nor-Fishing

 

Rita Ottervik, The Mayor of Trondheim, spoke of the growing exhibition and how a brand new conference and sports facility will accommodate Nor-Fishing in 2019.

 

 

Elisbeth Aspaker nor-fishing

 

Elisabeth Aspaker, the Norwegian Minister of Fisheries, spoke about how "the riches from the sea is our future" during her opening remarks. 


 

Queen Nor-Fishing

 

Her Majesty the Queen of Norway is the first female member of the royal family to open Nor-Fishing. Her speech encouraging new ideas and innovation.

 

Other Nor-Fishing news:

  • Marel won the Nor-Fishing Innovation Award. Their new Flexicut machine can cut away side bone in fish filets with a minimal loss of the meat using a ultra-thin water stream.

 

  • A whole range of mini-seminars took place including one hosted by The Norwegian Research Council and Innovation Norway on new technology for capturing fish.

 

Nortrade and Norway Exports were busy at our stand talking to many interested parties about Norwegian seafood, aquaculture, fishing equipment and boats. We also met with many of our members at their stands. We will continue to make the rounds over the next couple of days.
