Contracts with Besiktas Gemi Insa AS

Vestdavit has entered into a contract with Besiktas for delivery of work boat davits and mob boat davits to Faroe Island shipowner P/F Thor.

Besiktas will build four specially designed chase vessels which will support PGS fleet of seismic ships. Area Sales Manager Sven Arild Wågsæther  is very pleased with this new and important contract. Besiktas is a new customer to us, so it was important for us to sell them on our quality philosopy and the importance of having durable and reliable equipment on these vessels. We are glad to announce that the delivery will include one PLR-15000 davit for each vessel. The PLR-15000 davit has a SWL of 15T, and will be our largest one-point lifting davit ever. We see the seismic work boats becoming larger and larger, and we had already stareded the design of such a davit. With the delivery to Thor we are adding an important new davit to our range of specially designed work boat davits.
