Comrod and Roda Computer Strategic Partnership

roda computer GmbH of Germany and Comrod Communication AS of Norway announce a strategic partnership to supply ultra-rugged power supplies for the German defense market.

Under the agreement, Comrod power products will be marketed by roda computer. This allowes both customized and standard variants to address the diverse needs of the demanding German market.

roda CEOs Martin Bertsch, Frank Scholz and business segment manager Jürgen Metz are very pleased with the opportunities afforded by the agreement, a sentiment shared by Comrod. “Comrod’s rugged power supplies are well matched with roda’s highly survivable computers and networking products for military applications, and we are excited to be part of roda’s system solutions”, said Mathias Dybvik, Chief Commercial Officer for Comrod.

“ Comrod’s ultra-rugged high-efficiency battery chargers and power supplies offers maximum performance in the smallest possible space and are certified to the highest military standards. One example is the IP67 qualified Compact2400. “At 11 kg and a half-rack footprint the 2400W output power is unmatched in its class.”, said Mr Arne Syversen, Vice President of the Comrod power division.

“The software defined power supply can be adapted to virtually any application or charge virtually any battery technology.” Multiple power supplies can be connected in parallel to build scalable, load sharing solutions for power supply and battery charging inside or outside of armored vehicles and command posts.
