Canadians Win Norwegian Satellite Contract

The University of Toronto will build the platform for the Norwegian satellite NORSAT-1.

The University of Toronto Institute for Aerospace Studies (UTIAS), Space Flight Laboratory won the contract after an international request for tender.

"UTIAS won this in competition with a world leader. The Norwegian Space Centre is really looking forward to working with them on this high pace project. We have experienced a good working relationship during the development of our AIS satellites, " says Bo Nyborg Andersen, Director General of the Norwegian Space Centre.
