Building homes for the Danes

Veidekke, a Norwegian construction company, will be building luxury apartments in Denmark worth USD 65 million to 77 million (NOK 699 million to 700 million) each year for the foreseeable future.

With its purchase of Denmark's oldest contracting company, Hoffmann & Sønner, Veidekke acquired an important platform for operations throughout the Danish and south Swedish markets. "In the next three years we figure on being able to sell more than 300 apartments per year in Copenhagen," said Leif E. Johansen, Veidekke's chief executive, in an interview with the Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten.
