Beerenberg Statoil Partnership Extended

Statoil has awarded Beerenberg a framework contract for maintenance services on 11 offshore installations. The estimated contract value is NOK 8 billion.

The duration of the contract is 15 years, starting on 05.01.2016. This implies an extension to Beerenberg’s existing contracts on Statfjord A, B and C, Gullfaks A, B and C, Kvitebjørn, Valemon, Grane, Visund and Draupner, all offshore installations on Norwegian continental shelf.

Beerenberg employees are looking forward to continue the trusting and constructive partnership they have established with Statoil over a number of years, both on its offshore installations and at Mongstad, says Ole Klemsdal, VP Communications at Beerenberg.



In a commercial perspective the contracts awarded to Beerenberg by Statoil will stimulate improvements in the areas of HSE/Q, consistency and productivity. The 15-year perspective that the ISS contracts offer will boost the ongoing technology and skills development processes that the industry needs to realise in order to meet the future demands and expectations of the petroleum industry.


Back in November, Statoil also awarded Beerenberg a 10-year framework contract for maintenance and modifications at the Mongstad refinery. The total estimated value of the new contracts between Statoil and Beerenberg is thus NOK 10 billion.


– This provides a solid basis on which to further develop Beerenberg’s services and technologies in the Norwegian and international markets. And last but not least, it is a highly encouraging vote of confidence from Statoil in Beerenberg’s 1,500 employees, concludes Ole Klemsdal.
