AnoxKaldnes AS acquires Norwegian company JO Water

AnoxKaldnes  AS, the Norwegian subsidiary of  AnoxKaldnes Global AB and the inventor of the Kaldnes Moving Bed TM Biofilm process to treat water and wastewater has acquired 100% of the shares in JO-Water based in Sandefjord, Norway.

JO Water is a leader in the water and wastewater industry marketing their own technologies and solutions within separation and pre-treatment thus delivering total solutions to the Norwegian market. 


“Strategically, this is a very important part of our company’s development, not only in Norway but for AnoxKaldnes globally” says managing director of AnoxKaldnes Terje Andersen. “By acquiring 100% of Jo-Water we are not only strengthening our position in the Norwegian market but will also use the Norwegian market to develop new technologies and solutions to strengthen our international position in the water and wastewater market” continues Andersen.


JO Water has 20 employees and a turnover of  NOK 50 mill (EUR 6,5 mill- US 7.7 mil) . Both Managing Director Mr. Oddvar Kristoffersen and Marketing Director Jan H. Knutsen have more than 30 years experience in this market, specifically with different types of separation technologies and pretreatment solutions. They will both continue in their current positions.


“Because Jo-Water’s focus is on the Norwegian market, the current AnoxKaldnes organization is free to focus on developing new international markets” says Andersen.
