Welcome to the 6th annual north atlantic seafood forum Oslo, Norway 1-3 March 2011

Dear NASF friends and delegates

We are pleased to announce a number of new developments which will further advance the North Atlantic Seafood Forum (NASF) as the world´s leading seafood business congress.

NASF Partnership with MareLife and Pareto Securities: NASF Conference Director Jorgen J. Lund acquired NASF from Norway Trade Fairs in April 2010 and entered into a partnership with the seafood industry association, MareLife. NASF is now owned by the MareLife members. Pareto Securities has taken over the NASF finance and investor seminar on an exclusive basis.

Broad seafood industry coverage and leading executive meeting place: NASF is today the world leading seafood business conference and meeting place. and covers a broad spectrum of industry sectors. In 2011, NASF will be situated in downtown Oslo at the Radisson Blu Scandinavia Hotel.

MareLife Association is an independent innovation network covering all marine sectors with 45 leading international seafood firms and institutions as members. MareLife operates industry defined R&D projects with wide international applications and has important national and international networks.

Synergies and upside potential: The combination of NASF and MareLife and the NASF business platform will further advance NASF as a world leading arena. Today’s major seafood firms know that continuous development and adaptation to new market conditions are prerequisites to stay ahead. NASF will be a business- meeting place integrated with a strong innovation component.

New Conference Initiatives: NASF 2011 will feature an outstanding program with 7 seminars and 80 top industry speakers. This year we welcome back European Retailers to a unique world seminar session discussing the consumer trends and outlook for the European seafood retailing markets. Also we are again setting up two major parallel seminars within the white fish and pelagic industries sectors with CEOs of world leading companies participating. A new event is the NASF scientific pre-conference seminar on March1 st with the edge cutting theme: “Science - the basis for the 21st century marine industries”.

Strong industry backing: We wish to send our warmest thanks to our main sponsors who have shown great interest in supporting our new NASF area. We also thank our many conference partners who have given us strategic guidance and help to set the themes and the agenda. Their contributions have been vital to maintain NASF as a true world class event.

We welcome you to NASF March 1-3, 2011 in Oslo.
