“The technical programme is varied and good; the combination of presenters from the industry, authorities and research communities is exciting. The social aspect is also positive; it is useful to meet others who are doing the same thing. I have been to several Force events in the past, and have always benefitted professionally. The events are often intensive and take place over the course of two days, which suits me well.”

Erik Lundin
Exploration geologist in Statoil

Erik Lundin“The focus at this conference is great, the programme is varied and the presentations are top-notch. I have attended events organised by Force before, but it has been a few years since the last time. Since I am working with Northeastern Greenland now, and have previously worked with Central Norway, it is useful to be here. I have learned a lot.”

Erling Borgfjord
Exploration manager in VNG Norge

Erling Borgfjord

“The event is very good, with solid and expert presenters who communicate a lot of new knowledge. The programme committee should be praised! Things are happening all the time and you never stop learning in this discipline. It is particularly exciting to hear about Eastern Greenland, which is monumentally important in order to understand the geology in Central Norway and the Barents Sea. I have participated in many events organised by Force, and I also headed the network group for structural geology from 2003 to 2010. Force is great, and organises good conferences and field trips. The events are a good meeting place for the industry and authorities.”

Oskar Fjeld
Exploration manager in Skagen 44

Oskar Fjeld

“I think the programme at this conference is interesting from a technical perspective, even though I am not working with Greenland. However, knowledge about Greenland’s geology is important to understand the Barents Sea and Central Norway. There are a lot of new things coming from Greenland, for example seismic and shallow drilling. I am learning a lot. The Force cooperation forum is useful for me; I have participated in several events, and they have been excellent.”

Morten Bjerager
Geological survey of Denmark

Morten Bjerager

“This conference is really a big eye-opener; it's exciting to learn more about the connection between onshore Greenland and offshore Norway. It is also an important meeting place; it is exciting to meet people who are interested in your work. I work in Denmark, so this is the first Force event I’ve been to. My impression is that Force is a great initiative, and that both the industry and authorities benefit from participating at the events.”

Stig-Morten Knutsen
Exploration manager in Nunaoil

Stig-Morten Knutsen

“This is an exciting event with good presenters, and I appreciate that the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate invited me. For those of us working with Greenland it is interesting to look at the connections across the Atlantic. I previously worked with the Norwegian shelf, and I used to participate in Force events. This is the first after I started working in Nunaoil. I have benefitted professionally from participating in seminars and conferences held by Force, and it has also been a good arena for networking.”
